Stewart Maddox - the father of Brian and Daniel Maddox. Had an infamous fight with his older brother, the earl of Maddox, to the point where all contacts were severed before his sons were born. Wife died in childbirth with her second son. Died in a carriage accident, leaving Brian to take care of his younger brother.

The Earl of Maddox (current) - named Stephan. Cousin to Brian and Daniel Maddox. Briefly mentioned in "The Price of Family."

Brian Maddox - the elder son of Steward Maddox. His father died when he was 16, leaving him to care for his 10-year-old brother Daniel, who soon developed severe sight problems and nearly died from an infection after cataract surgery.  The stress of raising his brother and running their estate took their toll on Brian. As soon as Daniel went to France to complete his medical education, Brian descended into drinking and gambling, and lost the entire family fortune. He took out loans to pay for his brother's medical license and then escaped his creditors by running to Europe. He traveled wildly, returning to England nearly a decade later as part of James Kincaid's plot to blackmail Caroline Bingley. Brian was stabbed by Kincaid but saved by his brother's quick surgical work, though he now walks with a limp from severed nerves in his back. Left again in embarrassment and went to Romania, where he lost a bet with a count and agreed to marry his daughter Nadezhda. Left during the engagement to help the Darcys get to Italy ("The Price of Family") but returned in time to marry Princess Nadezhda. They were happily married but barren, and escaped her father's wrath by fleeing to Russia and returning to England by way of Japan. ("Left to Follow") Made a fortune with the silk he bought while in Japan with Nadezhda's dowry and went into business with Charles Bingley II. Lives outside London with his wife and travels often.

Dr. Daniel Stewart Maddox - the younger son of Stewart Maddox. Lost his mother at childbirth and his father when he was ten. He was raised by is older brother Brian. Began to lose his sight to myopia and started wearing glasses at 12, had his first cataract surgery at 14. He developed an infection from which he nearly died; only his brother's intervention at preventing the doctors from bleeding him saved him. He went into medicine to save his own sight, going first to Cambridge and then to the University of Paris, returning to England to become the youngest doctor of the Royal Society of Medicine after passing their exam. His brother left him the next day after destroying the family's finances. Daniel inherited his brother's debts and lived in squalor for years, even contracting (but surviving) cholera from unsanitary conditions. Eventually saved enough money to keep himself afloat and through references began to treat Mr. Hurst for gout, through which he met and married Caroline Bingley. Became a physician to the Prince of Wales (later Regent) when he stitched him up in a brothel. The father of three children, one adopted.

Frederick Maddox - born two weeks before his "twin" sister Emily in Fall 1809. His real parents were the Prince of Wales and a prostitute named Lilly Garrison, who died of childbed fever with Dr. Maddox at her side as the attending physician. Named after his father (King George IV's full name is George Frederick Augustus), he was christened with his sister. Brown-haired like his real father, not his adoptive one.

Emily Maddox - born two weeks after her "twin" brother Frederick in the all of 1809. The natural child of Daniel and Caroline Maddox. Redhead.

Mrs. Bennet - wife of Edmund Bennet. Maiden name Miss Gardiner, the sister of Mr. Gardiner, a shopkeeper who lives in Cheapside. The mother of five girls, none of which can inherit the estate when Mr. Bennet dies. Hence, she is crazy. It's pretty much the plot of Pride and Prejudice.

Jane Bennet - Married to Charles Bingley II. Mother of four children: Georgiana, Charles III, Elizabeth, and Edmund. Lives in Derbyshire, three miles from her sister Elizabeth.

Elizabeth Bennet - Okay, seriously, you have to know who she is.

Mary BennetMary Bennet - third Bennet daughter, known in the book for being plain-looking and obnoxiously religious, but for some reason, never hooked up with Mr. Collins. Well, good for her.
